Sadly, our experience with Windows and More was not a good one. We chose this company after careful research and reading reviews, and based on what we read, thought this was going to be an excellent experience. They were considerably more expensive than the three next highest quotes down, but we decided it would be worth the extra money for the peace of mind that comes with using a reputable company. It wasn’t. From start to finish, the experience was stressful, frustrating, and unbelievably time consuming. We had quotes done early on in the year, and the job was supposed to be entirely completed by the beginning of June, at the latest. By the end of June, they hadn’t even started, despite taking a payment of the first half of the contracted amount nearly two months earlier (over $4000). We had to keep calling and chasing them down, and it took several attempts every time to actually reach someone - each time receiving the same reply about how the supplies were being ordered, they were backlogged because of weather, etc. When I finally threatened to cancel the job and get my money back, they finally admitted that someone had dropped the ball and the windows and supplies had not even been ordered yet and would be another month of waiting. The workers they sent out to knock out the wall were not very nice, and did fair work, but not stellar, and I had to argue with them and get their supervisor onto it just to get them to do the job agreed. There were issues from the start, some of which were never fixed. The wrong size window was ordered, when one got there, it had a crack in it and had to be reordered, the screen had a large hole in it, which one of the workers created by accident but then they had to reorder that. The guy who was supposed to paint (they sent someone in his 80s, and while the guy was sweet, he didn’t do a great job), quoted one price but then changed it mid-job, and ended up getting paint on our new siding and didn’t remove it. We had to keep chasing them up to remove the debris and clean up, which was part of the agreed price, etc. When we called about when the reordered window would ever arrive, and never heard back, we chased them down numerous times before being told that the guy in charge of our project had been let go/had quit, depending on who was telling the story. The windows are just ok in operation. We were told they were the best, but they don’t even close and open easily or well. When we shut the bottom one, it pulls the top one slightly open. They do block the heat pretty well and we noticed an immediate difference in the temperature of the room, but this entire project was not worth the money spent (over $8000), and we would never hire this company again for future window or siding needs. We were very disappointed at the poor communication and lengthy process, and in the end could have had the same job done for a few thousand less and had it done by the beginning of June.
Mike came out last week. He was the 3rd company we had estimate our windows. He was so nice and so professional. He made sure we knew what we were getting. Window world and Wilson's we're in and out in 15 min. He stayed 45 minutes. Look forward to his team coming out to do windows.
These guys did an awesome job on my windows and the windows are awesome too. I can't believe how much difference these windows make on keeping my house cool. Very reasonable price compared to other companies we got estimates from. Jim our salesman who was very friendly came out and showed us the windows without hassling s to buy. The install crew crew kept everything clean and were very professional I highly recommend Windows and More.
Windows and More did an excellent job. We had roof and some siding damage from a tree. They came out promptly to do an estimate and identified some additional issues that we had. They then coordinated with our insurance and came back out with our insurance adjuster to work out all of the details. The work performed was timely and excellent, we had one small issue and they came back out and fixed it as soon as they were notified. I would do additional business with them and would refer them to my neighbors and friends.
I met Adam when he came to evaluate some Windows that needed replacement. He was very professional and definitely knew what was needed. The Windows were ordered, installed and now I have beautiful windows. Adam came and reviewed the results. The installers were prompt and completed the job with no problems and even swept up after. When I replace more windows in the future,I Will ask for Adam and his team again. Great job!
